To celebrate and promote Norway’s national summer reading programme “Sommerles,” this piece was created as a narrative animation that invites children into an imaginative reading adventure. After extensive storyboarding, a world of handcrafted video miniatures and digital animation came together—blending illustration, motion design, and visual storytelling into one cohesive film.

Every detail, from the illustrated characters to the atmospheric environments, was designed, drawn, and animated by me. The most rewarding moment came when the children and families who inspired the voices and characters saw themselves reflected in the finished animation—a reminder of how animation can connect communities through story and design.
