Magnus Lagabøte
Historisk Museum, Oslo
Created for the Historic Museum in Oslo, this historical animation marked the 750th anniversary of the Landslov — Norway’s first national law, established by King Magnus VI, “Magnus Lagabøte” (the Law-Mender). The film formed part of the museum’s 2024–2025 exhibition, celebrating a defining moment in Norwegian history through animated storytelling and illustrated design.
Each visual element was hand-illustrated, layered, and animated to bring Magnus and his wife Ingeborg to life. The project merges museum animation, historical illustration, and digital heritage storytelling, inviting visitors to experience medieval Norway through movement, light, and narrative craft.
